Year after year, our employees donate both time and money to their communities, and Nicor Gas is proud to strengthen this tradition of giving by making additional investments in organizations in the form of grants and donations across northern Illinois. In 2010, Nicor Gas contributed more than $2 million and thousands of volunteer hours to support programs and organizations that make a difference to people in need.

Nicor Gas employees and their families participate in Volunteer Day each May.
Celebrating our 15th anniversary of Volunteer Day in 2011, more than 1,200 Nicor Gas employees, family and friends completed 23 projects in 20 communities. Projects ranged from framing houses for Habitat for Humanity, sorting food at local pantries and performing outdoor cleanup and landscaping.
